TODAY’S FORECAST
Happy Saturday!
Today is looking like one of the best days we’ve seen a quite sometime.
We start the day off with temperatures in the 60s and 70s. Afternoon temperatures will climb to the upper 80s to near 90s, so average. But the humidity will be with us, so that will put our heat index into the mid 90s.
As for the rainfall today, we aren’t really looking for much at all. If we do, it will likely be in the southern valley closer to Chattanooga and some possible in the mountains. So keep that in mind if you are planning to be in the Great Smoky Mountain National Park.
Remember to track the rain with the eastTNweather Interactive Radar giving you, current, past and future radar of two hours.

LOOKING AHEAD
We are tracking an upper level disturbance that will bring elevated showers and thunderstorms to East Tennessee.
We start this process on Sunday. But more energy is expected to swing in on Tuesday and Wednesday before things start to quiet down again.
The humidity will be elevated over the next five to seven days. Then you add warmer temperatures to the mix and that will likely put our heat index back into the upper 90s to low 100s.
